Sarah Snook's daughter isn't quite aware yet that her mom is a famous actress.

The All Her Fault star, 37, appeared on a Thursday, Nov. 6 episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show and spoke with Clarkson about her 2-year-old daughter, whom she shares with husband Dave Lawson. Snook jokingly shared that she's pretty sure her daughter has no idea what she actually does for a living.

“Yeah, she’s still sort of learning what I do,” Snook says.

“Oh, she will not realize for a minute,” Clarkson responds.

“Well I mean, when I was doing Dorian, my husband would bring her in and like for the bows, she would often be…during the matinee, she would often be behind stage so she could see me bowing," says Snook, who won a Tony for her role in the play The Picture of Dorian Gray this past year. "But I think that she thinks that my job is just going to work and bowing for two hours.”

“Like I just stand there and do this,” Snook continues, bowing. “And people clap.”

Clarkson went on to say that it gets funnier when you start having to explain that the things that seem normal to celebrities' kids aren't actually normal.

“I know, yeah. We were in the car on the way to the hotel last night, and a bus pulled up next to us with my face on it," Snook remembers. "And I’ve got it on camera where it’s like panning from my face to her, and she’s like on the magna doodle doing something, and she’s like, ‘Whatever.’ And it’s like, ‘That is weird!’"

“It is! And they’ll start to be like, ‘Everyone’s mom is on the side of a bus. That’s totally normal,' ” jokes Clarkson.

Snook doesn't often share details about her daughter, but in January 2024 she gave a shoutout to her baby girl as she accepted the Emmy for her role in Succession.

Calling her daughter her "biggest thank you," the star said the shoutout "is to someone who won't understand anything that I'm saying at the moment, but I carried her with me in this last season. And really, it was her who carried me."

"It's very easy to act when you're pregnant because you’ve got hormones raging. It was more that the proximity of her life growing inside me gave me the strength to do this and this performance, and I love you so much," Snook added. "And it's all for you from here on out. Thank you."

In May 2023, Snook revealed that she welcomed her first baby with her husband in an Instagram photo of her and her newborn watching the finale of Succession. While Snook let a picture say a thousand words by not mentioning her baby in the caption, she did pen a lengthy reflection now that Succession has come to an end.

"It’s hard to express what this show has meant to me," Snook began. "The places I got to go, the immense talent I got to work with…it breaks my heart that it is all over."

"But my heart had to be this full of all the memories, good times, challenges and triumphs, to be able to break at all…so that makes me grateful," she continued.

"I just watched the final episode of the final season of something that has changed my life. And now, my life has changed again. Thank you for all the love and support," Snook added, presumably referring to her newborn.
