The Short n’ Sweet tour is not quite over yet, but with its closing show tomorrow night, Sabrina Carpenter has already started looking ahead to her next project. Earlier this month, it was announced that the artist and former Disney Channel star would be getting back into acting with a forthcoming musical film inspired by Lewis Caroll’s Alice in Wonderland. Carpenter, who was recently nominated for 6 Grammy awards, was confirmed to not only star in the project, but serve as a producer as well. And if her latest Instagram post is any indication, she’s already started getting into character.

Yesterday, in between back-to-back performances in Los Angeles—one of which included “arresting” Dakota and Elle Fanning—Carpenter shared a behind-the-scenes look at what she’s been up to off-stage. And, in addition to hanging out with Paul McCartney (!!!), friends (such as Joey King), an adorable cat, and her Stevie Nicks “Bella Donna” Barbie, there was one color that trickled into the photo dump in nearly every other image.

Alice, of Alice in Wonderland, has been depicted in various styles since her creation back in 1865—but her most recognizable representation has no doubt been her signature blue dress, cinched at the waist with a white apron and striped tights to match. Now, some 160 years later, Carpenter has put her own stamp on the look.

In the lead image, the artist posed for a mirror selfie in a vibrant blue short-sleeve sweater minidress, courtesy of Chanel. Later, she picked out an icy ’90s puffer from the same fashion house, paired with Gigi Hadid’s Guest in Residence plaid scarf; and, in a third mirror shot, she stunned in a pale teal dress. Let the method dressing begin!
