The NFL has officially revealed who will sing the national anthem at Super Bowl LX, naming Charlie Puth as this year’s headline pregame performer.

The league announced on its official Instagram account, confirming that Puth will take center stage at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, on Feb. 8. The reveal immediately sparked excitement from fans online, with many celebrating the choice and predicting a standout performance on football’s biggest stage.

The announcement also came with news of two other major performers. Brandi Carlile will sing "America the Beautiful," and Coco Jones will perform “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” rounding out a star-powered pregame lineup ahead of Bad Bunny’s much-discussed halftime show.

He reacted to the news on social media with disbelief and humor, posting a playful video where he jokingly explained the complexities of the anthem to football players using game-day terms. His fans wasted no time cheering him on.

The excitement kept building, with a third fan celebrating, “Yayyyyy, you are iconic for this, GO CHARLIE!!!”

The support was capped with one more message that summed up the mood: “Iconic!!!!!!!!! Love you love this.”

Puth, a four-time Grammy nominee and Golden Globe winner, enters the Super Bowl fresh off the announcement of his upcoming studio album, Whatever’s Clever!, due in March. His musical background, along with his reputation for precision and vocal skill, has many expecting a memorable performance.

Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez praised this year’s lineup, saying the three singers are “generational talents” and noting the importance of the deaf performers who will join them onstage.

American Sign Language will be featured across every major segment of the show, according to ESPN. Fred Beam will sign the national anthem and “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” while Julian Ortiz will sign “America the Beautiful.” For the first time in Super Bowl history, the halftime show will include multilingual signing, with Celimar Rivera Cosme delivering Puerto Rican Sign Language.

The pregame show will be broadcast on NBC, Telemundo, and Peacock.

Coco Jones and Brandi Carlile Add Power to the Pregame Stage

Coco Jones, a Grammy winner for her hit “ICU” and star of Peacock’s Bel-Air, will perform “Lift Every Voice and Sing.” Her nomination for Best R&B Album at the upcoming ceremony adds to the anticipation surrounding her performance.

Brandi Carlile, an 11-time Grammy winner, will take on “America the Beautiful.” Her recent musical work, including collaborations with Elton John, has earned widespread acclaim.

Together, the trio presents one of the most musically diverse pregame combinations in recent Super Bowl history.

With a blend of pop, R&B and Americana influences, paired with expanded ASL inclusion, the NFL is positioning this year’s Super Bowl as a celebration of culture, community and music.
