Meghan King's ex-husband Jim Edmonds shared a series of photos with his kids as he celebrated Thanksgiving

In one photo, Edmonds and his wife Kortnie smiled and posed with his three kids, whom he shares with King

The post comes shortly after news broke that King had lost temporary custody of her kids

Meghan King's ex-husband Jim Edmonds shared a sweet photo with all three of his kids this past weekend.

On Saturday, Nov. 29, Edmonds posted a picture on his Instagram Stories as he posed alongside his wife Kortnie and his three kids — 9-year-old Aspen and 7-year-old twins Hart and Hayes. Aspen could be seen holding Kortnie's hand and wearing a denim dress, kicking one of her legs up into the air.

Edmonds had his arm around his twin sons, who matched in brown shirts. One of his boys had a brown cowboy hat on and smiled, while the other was pictured between Edmonds and Kortnie.

"Lots of Love," Edmonds wrote across the picture, tagging his wife.

He later shared the photo in an Instagram carousel, alongside pictures from his daughter Aspen's Taylor Swift-themed birthday celebration. "What a week! A lot to be Thankful for @kortnieoc," he wrote in his caption.

Edmonds' photo comes shortly after news broke that the former Real Housewives of Orange County star lost temporary custody of her three kids with Edmonds.

A source told PEOPLE exclusively that the decision to remove the children from King's custody came after King allegedly gave Ritalin to one of her sons multiple times, even though the child had not been prescribed the medication by a doctor. The source also shared that King allegedly asked a school nurse to administer the medication to her son. Page Six was first to report the news.

"She tried to get the nurse to do it and then somebody from the school called CPS and they opened an investigation," the source said.

PEOPLE reached out to King multiple times for comment at the time.

Following the report from the school employee to Child Protective Services, the source said that the children's guardian ad litem, a court-appointed advocate, filed for a temporary restraining order against Meghan.

On Nov. 19, multiple outlets reported that King had lost temporary custody of her children in recent months, and a source told PEOPLE that the removal came sometime in late October, around Halloween.

A few days later, an insider exclusively told Page Six that King would be spending Thanksgiving apart from her three kids. The source explained that her children would celebrate the holiday with Edmonds and his wife Kortnie in Tennessee.

King and Edmonds were married for five years before separating in 2019 and finalizing their divorce in 2021. Edmonds later married Kortnie, 40, with whom he went public with in 2020. The couple became engaged in 2021 and tied the knot in 2022.

However, tensions between King and the couple grew, and an altercation took place in September 2025, where police were called to Edmonds' home.

Kortnie allegedly phoned 911 after the confrontation with King, claiming the former reality star entered their home without permission and was “causing a disturbance,” per the police report.

Afterward, Edmonds’ representative issued a statement to PEOPLE denying King's allegation.

“As usual, Meghan is telling tales. Her and Jim barely communicate, so if someone is emotionally abusing her it’s not Jim," the rep shared at the time. “And she is not getting full custody; Jim is an active and present father to all his children.”
